Thinking of Changing Essay Topic

Today, while I was writing my essay on Zulus, I noticed that I had gotten about three quarters of the way done with my draft, I felt that maybe I was getting a little ahead of myself considering that the entire essay was an analysis of a single chapter heading. I had planned to do much more than that at this point and began to think that if I go in another direction I an make this work. For my essay I had chosen essay topic four which required me to examine how either Zulus or Meridian was seen as commenting on the nature of archives. The reason I’m considering changing it is because most of my essay is the analysis of the chapter H chapter heading and I am already nearing the max word count. If I were to alter my essay to adapt to essay choice two, then I may be able to keep what I have already written. I would just have to take out the parts relating the topic to archives and change it to explain why thinking in a New Critical Formalist manner cannot work when reading Zulu. At first I was not even really considering using this essay choice; however after careful consideration, I believe that in order to have quality control over my essay, I must make the switch. I feel confident that I will be able to make this work.
